Lorna Simpson
One of the leading artists of her generation, Lorna Simpson employs a spare, evocative visual language to explore assumptions about identity, gender, and culture. Although Simpson is primarily a photographer, her work references other art languages such as painting and cinema. This publication contains stills from Simpson’s film, Corridor, which was included in an exhibition entitled Compostela at Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea, Santiago de Compostela. The book contains two essays in both Spanish and English, as well as 42 color reproductions of Simpson’s work.
