Nick Cave: Soundsuits
Nick Cave defies categorization in the creation of his elaborate costume pieces, loosely based on ethnographic ritual costumes made with modern objects, which he paints, draws, sews, constructs, designs, prints, sculpts, performs, photographs, and films. Through color, texture, shape, scale, and the unexpected, he explores issues of the body, identity, ethnicity, and race.
